Botanicare Cocogro Compressed Coir is a premium high pith coco grow media made of compressed coir that is ideal for hydroponic gardening and seed starters in both indoor and outdoor conditions. Premium high pith coconut coir is an ecologically responsible, 100% biodegradable soil alternative that aerates and improves water retention naturally. Coco coir premium fiber mix grow media can be used as an alternative to sphagnum peat moss. Coir should be fully hydrated with a pH balanced nutrient solution (5.8-6.2) before transplanting. Container should be watered until a 10-20% runoff is achieved. Coco coir should be irrigated daily with a nutrient solution which may need to be adjusted depending on environmental conditions. To grow successfully in coco coir, nutrients should be used immediately to avoid deficiencies, the medium should not completely dry out between waterings and fertilizer should be applied with every watering. It's important to thoroughly water the container until runoff is achieved with every feeding. One 11 lb (5kg) brick yields 2.2 - 2.5 cu ft or 65-70 liters.
